This exhibition of more than one hundred examples, organized by the National Gallery of Canada, was the largest of a series of shows that will be on view in Canada.The first of these shows was devoted to a selection of paintings by the 19th- and 20th-century American artists who, in their time and in their work, are remembered for their imaginative use of color and visual elements.
