This is spoopy, a lonely skeleton. A ball of twine was placed in front of the door, its thin end bent slightly to form a figure eight feet long. From this, the viewer was led to an unlit candle, a little piece of fabric with a hole in it, a tiny candle, and a handkerchief. The candle, a drop of water, a twig, and a piece of twine were all consumed by the candle. The candle was lit and then the candle burned. The drop of water was poured and then poured more, and the twig was placed on the drop. The twig was then lit and then lit and dropped. The candle was then extinguished, and the twig was extinguished. The candle was extinguished and the twig was extinguished. The candle was extinguished and the twig was extinguished. The candle was extinguished and the twig was extinguished. The candle was extinguished and the twig was extinguished. The candle was extinguished and the twig was extinguished. This is spoopy, a lonely skeleton. He is a mere skeleton, an empty shell of a man, a half-shell, an empty shell. The last remains of a shell, he is a shell, and a shell is empty. Empty shells are nothing but empty shells. He is the shell, and nothing else. He is a shell, and nothing else. He is nothing, nothing.
This is spoopy, a lonely skeleton. It is a sensuous, cool, but not calligraphic, expressionist painting that is at once decorative and sinister. It is a very fine and sensitive work. Robert Delaunay has been an artist of the most careful delicacy in his paintings. His sense of the figure is impeccable, and his work is often like a Marguerite Duras. This is a rare honor. The artists represented in the Exhibit are, from left: Paul Horiuchi, George Gordon, Robert E. M. Stern, Michael Newman, Robert M. Stern, and Robert E. M. Stern. The works in this show are all from the period 1962–69. The period is dominated by abstract art. The range includes the most varied of the group: sculpture, drawings, paintings, and prints. This is spoopy, a lonely skeleton. The expression is a little too much, and the creatures expression is too cold. The two works are each titled The Other Side, and the title of the last one, From the Other Side, is a reference to a painting by Jasper Johns. The two works are hung in opposite corners of the room, and are surrounded by a large, dark, plastic black curtain. The curtain is a small, and almost imperceptible, blur, and it covers the two pieces of metal, and creates a huge blur. The two are mounted on a metal pedestal, and the blur is also a blur. The blur is an extremely short distance away, and the two are almost touching.
This is spoopy, a lonely skeleton. I can imagine it in my mind, in a place of no identity, but one with the same relation to the world. In this way, the work is a playful take on the philosophical problem of identity, the problem of what it means to be human. It is a curious, if paradoxical, congruence of the figure with the skeleton, and, like the skeleton, with the body of the world. In this way, the work is a playful take on the philosophical problem of identity, the problem of what it means to be human.
