Is Anselm Kiefer a good painter? The answer, at least for me, is no. I think he is an excellent painter, but one who does not paint well. This is important, for it is the very quality of the work which makes it important to know where it is, and to accept it as art. It is important to know that the works of Anselm Kiefer are not simply a continuation of the work of artists who have been around for a long time, but are in fact the direct result of his work with the highest artistic standards. It is important to know that these paintings are not only pictures but also objects. Anselm Kiefer is interested in the relationship between painting and the object. He is also interested in the relationship between the work of art and society. In the end, what is important is not the fact of the works being pictures, but the fact that they are pictures.
