, not a new threat.
, if not eliminated altogether, at least for now. In the end, however, the fact that the mission has lasted so long, and that the result is still to be determined, remains an indeterminate.
. The works have a subjectivity to them that is more than ironic or self-consciously ironic. Rather than being seen as a commentary on the world, as is often the case in contemporary art, they embody a new vision that is more than the sum of its parts.
. We can do it, in fact.
polar bear standing on ice floating in the middle of the ocean, global warning is a problem and needs to be fixed. The failure of the message is always the same: you cant be sure whats happening at any given moment. There are some moments when the message is successful and the audience is calm and accepting, but the voice of reason comes up and tells you what to do. And it works. You hear the warnings, go on with the show, and then the warning is over, and you hear it again and you are once more confused. You dont know what you did or what is going to happen, and you dont have the right to ask why. Youre trapped. In general, the situation is interesting and interesting only because you dont know whats going on, but that doesnt mean that the situation doesnt give you something to talk about. The idea that nothing is happening is kind of scary, and its sad. We are not even sure whether we should talk about this or that, the situation or the situation, the fact that there is no clear indication of whats happening or whats not happening, the fact that the situation is just a little too complicated to be grasped. It doesnt seem to matter. The point is, that we all know that the situation is bad and we want to talk about it. The situation is confusing, and there is no need to argue about it. So we sit around and try to figure it out. We try to do a little conceptual thinking, a little intellectual thinking, and we cant quite figure out whats going on. In fact, we know so much that we want to throw the situation into the deep end of the ocean, just as we do when we see a movie or listen to an audiobook. We all know what is going on, and we want to make some connections between what we see and what we hear. We want to try to make connections, but we cant. We dont even know where the connections are. We dont even know whats happening. We are just passing through here. The experience is overwhelming.
