The painting shows a shrieking wind from low-hanging squall clouds as it pushes a three-masted schooner through towering cape horn swells. St. Elmo's fire glows at the top of the mainmast, as lightning strikes the storm-tossed sea. A cinematic masterpiece of a painting!

Ebony & Ivory (all works 2015) is a miniature set of four enormous oil-on-canvas canvases that had been suspended from the ceiling of the gallerys central room. The paintings, all hung on the floor, reveal a rippling surface that evokes the effect of a brushstrokes and an applied coat of paint, and a sense of agitation and flux that is both natural and artificial. In the center of the canvas, a small drawing of a hand holding a handful of watery shards of glass is accompanied by a depiction of a baby being held by a pair of arms that extend from the surface. The figure, whose face is blackened, appears to be floating in the middle of the canvas, while the arms that extend from the top appear to be hovering above it. In the foreground, a flower, a headdress, and a sunflower, all set in a deep blue field, are outlined in white. The background, which is painted a deep gray, is composed of two rows of black and white frames. In the middle of the canvas, a dark blue-green figure holds a metal globe against her head. The paintings are made of oil-on-canvas and covered with a layer of pastel paint that gives the paintings an atmospheric quality. The delicate, almost dreamlike quality of the paintings is reminiscent of the paintings of the late 19th-century German painters W. H. Auden and Georg Baselitz, who were known for their sensitive, almost dreamlike colors.
