In his poem, we are meant to see the world as he describes it, as it is: the world is a double, a double of itself, a double of the other world. This double is the art world. In the present exhibition, González-Torress seminal work was on display in a number of mediums: painting, drawing, and collage. The exhibition was divided into three sections: an overview of his work, a brief overview of his production, and a brief survey of his production. The first part of the exhibition was devoted to his paintings. The second part of the show was devoted to the paintings produced by his friends, as well as to the works produced by others, like Jorge Luis Borges and Diego Rivera, who were also involved in the production of the paintings. The third part of the show was devoted to the works produced by González-Torress friends, in a variety of media. The paintings in the first section were made in collaboration with González-Torress friends. In the second section, González-Torress friends made collages, usually in his studio. These collages were not designed to be painted, but were made to look like paintings. The final section of the exhibition was devoted to the collages produced by the other collagists, including the artists who made the collages, and to the works produced by the collagists. The final section of the exhibition was devoted to the works produced by González-Torress friends, in a variety of media. The paintings in the first section were made in collaboration with González-Torress friends.
