in the past. The main theme is the simple. The meaning of life is the simple, and the meaning of death is the simple. All in all, this exhibition will be a great pleasure.Maria Barckel is a painter and journalist based in the West German city of Leipzig.
. My favorite pieces were those that I came up with from the most common materials: glass, glassblowing, ballpoint pen and pencil drawings. The medium is both beautiful and archaic. I dont like the idea of throwing away a good object and wasting time on an old one. The art work is like a second, an attempt to imitate an old master but with a different goal in mind. The idea of the art piece is to replace the object with something more important than the original.
The art work concludes various medias such as watercolor, acrylic, charcoal, ballpoint pen, oil pastels and paper cuttings, with different art styles from the artist who has inspired me to the one who has influenced me. Two examples of this type of work are shown here, as well as in a small but stunning work by the Frenchman Antoni Tzanetto. Tzanetto, who died in 1986 at the age of thirty-six, was well known for his use of historical and mythical themes, including the Pyramids and the Parthenon. His work also evoked the Catholic Church in Italy, which has had a rich cultural and historical legacy.A second group of works was devoted to contemporary artists. Among them is the New York based artist Nick Gironcoli, whose works, which appear to be relatively conservative in their presentation, have been especially influential on a younger generation of artists. One of the most remarkable works in the show was his enormous print Monuments, 1992, which depicts a vast array of marble figures in a wide variety of styles. The image is so full of drama that it almost overwhelms the viewer. There is also a number of works by the young American artist, Aaron Zorach, whose presence in the show seems to have been felt. His work, as a whole, was very much in keeping with the current moment in which contemporary art is being appropriated and reconstituted. His use of media such as clay, polyurethane, paint and plastic is reminiscent of the early 80s.Zorachs exhibition was of one sort or another, with the exception of the sculpture of the artist, and in one case was accompanied by a text that referred to the work of the artists sculptor, Alessandro Tazzi. The text was written in Italian and had a very traditional Italian content, referring to the artists great memory and achievements, but also to the artists association with the Tango. The works in the exhibition were divided into three groups: large, single-paneled sculptures; small, single-paneled and group pieces; and early, single-paneled and group pieces.
over the years to look at them, to look at their art as a whole.
to the person who has touched me. I love the rich colors of the dark browns, the rich gray tones of the blues, the rich blacks, the dark green hues, and the striking softness of the pastels. The work is fun, charming, elegant, colorful, with a strong sense of humor. In the art world, art is defined by that great emptiness that gives you the same feeling of being misunderstood as the greatest artist, or worse, that the greatest artist is a little silly.
