Annie is a highly romantic and inquisitive young woman. She is passionate and inquisitive, and seems to want to know more than anything. There is no sense of either overt or veiled manipulation of her feelings and emotions. The show is divided into five sections, each dedicated to a different theme: Annas, Sappho, Pharnabat, Linguistics, Proverbs, Propositions, and Statements. Each section is a statement or paraphrase of some kind made on or about an issue, and all the statements are serious. The beginning of each section is a sketch, in one or more of the following styles: graphite pencil, charcoal, pencil, or pen on paper. These are never entirely finished, so that the work is constantly being revised. The final sections of each section are drawings. The drawing technique is fundamental to each section, and the pencil, pencil and charcoal techniques are used to create an illusion of solidity. Statements are made using statements, or rather statements made by people who are perceived to have said certain things. It is in the end of each section that the art is truly made. The sculptures that were shown are produced by the same process, with one or two exceptions, the drawings are finished. On the last page of the show are two reproductions, entitled, each entitled An Argument of Seven Times Seven I Love You, and each depicts a person, with their signature or title, placed over the face. These two reproductions are considerably larger than the originals, and have been cut and pasted over the surface of the paper. The signature or title is written in black ink and attached to the wall in a manner similar to an adhesive sticker. These signed statements are in three sizes: small (10 x 12) single sheets, medium (16 x 19) single sheets, and large (22 x 24) single sheets. The displays are all framed in cardboard, and all feature the same text.
In many ways, his life is one of renewal and growth. In the second half of the 80s, he continued to produce drawings and paintings of over 10,000 objects, each dealing with something related to or relating to his dreams. The drawings in this show were simply stunning. His figures are always exquisite, detailed, and richly layered in color. They come across as beautiful, whether in the soft, gently evocative, grayscale hues of those canvases with the dark, sandy grounds of his childhood home in Elkhart, Indiana. In the past, he has worked in oil and with charcoal, and the result are delicately vivid, detailed drawings. In the present show, the colorful, organic, and even dreamlike compositions look like pictures by a mad genius. This is a rare artist who is able to use his vast artistic knowledge to bring about visions of the world of the mind.
His future is bright, and he is hoping to be a role model for others to come.
He is a wonderful and affectionate teacher and a true supporter of the arts. He was an outstanding student at the Art Center of the University of Massachusetts and at Boston College. His vivid imagination was a natural for a young artist such as himself, and it was his lifelong passion to learn and be inspired. As an art student, he explored the possibilities of materials, forms, and materials in an extraordinary array of media. But despite his natural talent, the artist knew the limitations of his medium and his emotional surroundings. As an artist, he struggled to find his place in the world, which he found in the fantastic worlds he encountered on his journey. He was so inspired by his surroundings that he wanted to be the center of his own creation. He tried to find the right blend of his disparate talents. He believed that being in the world was his greatest challenge, and that he would be able to make the best use of every available advantage in his environment. He found a richly varied environment of images in a vast array of mythic and religious traditions. He tried to find his own personal language that could answer the mystery of his surroundings. His poems, play-tables, and prop designs capture the mystery of his surroundings in imaginative and hilarious images. He is a true storyteller and a wonderful author of self-deprecating and witty fragments of text.
It is obvious that it is only through friendship that he can maintain his innocence, however hard he might try to hide his love for his brothers. But Archie also has a weakness for things that make him uncomfortable: profanity, cruelty, ignorance, selfishness, and envy. In his attempt to be more than the sum of his parts, he ends up being nothing more than a symptom of his own weakness. In the end, he is nothing more than an echo, a kind of negative force in the community of souls. In his attempts to make sense of things, he may lead us astray, but he always backs us up in our search for the truth.
