abstract red blue black acrylic art The seven works on paper in this show, some of them in the ink-on-paper series, are just a few of the many images that have appeared in the artists work over the past ten years. The show included paintings, drawings, sculptures, and collages. But what is perhaps most striking about these works is that they are all painted, and the paintings are all on paper. One could say that it is the kind of painting that one might do in a few years, but one wouldnt be too sure about that. The works have a painterly quality, but it isnt really apparent. In these works, however, we see the artists familiar brushwork, but we also see a great deal of color. These are works that reveal the artists ability to be a master of both technique and color. The collages are more difficult to describe. They are intricate works that have a lot of color going on. The collages are made up of many small, meticulously painted collages.
