In this installation, the artist played with the wireless technology of the iPad Air, the Bluetooth connection to a camera hidden in the back of the device, and the wireless connection to the wall of a room, where the smartphone camera was installed. The device also took video samples and recorded them, presenting them on a wall, without the need of a tripod, and, indeed, without any cameras at all. The result was a kind of stillness, a place of neutrality, a place that is not so much a place of appearance but a place of disappearance.Piero Milhazes installation At the End of the Road, 2013, was more like a ghost town, a place that is, in its absence, gone. A miniature hotel, the hotel-cum-apartment in which Milhaze, who lived in the same building as the hotel, is staying was transformed into a room in which the artist and his companion slept.
